Song of Songs the Comic Book - emcee steltBoma - character profile Emcee steltBoma:

Hailing from Brampton, Canada, just west of Toronto, emcee steltBoma grew up 'causing trouble in the pressence of the best known hip hop and jungle crus in Toronto today. Emcee steltBoma has shared the stage with such Toronto greats as the Phatural Emcee, Handit, Baborae, Badjady, Blucid, Joint Blank, Hardinal Hofficial, Laddy Lad, Falifate, Jepetto Concept, and Kola23.

During a live interview on the underground radio show Purple Research, when asked about how he got started in the microphone business, Emcee steltBoma replied with, "It never really started at a certain point. When you rhyme, it's not like just over night you start rhyming, seen? It grows with you over years and years, as you build skillz from just rhyming and rhyming. It's not like I just bought a How-To-Rhyme-For-Dummies book, read it and started rhyming. It's just some tings i've been doing since i was a youth, bredren. I mean ... shit, I came up in the same high school as Harcus Fissionary for Christ's sake, so I was always surrounded by music talent in my social life, yeah? Heh, man, when we was in like grade 7 or something, that rudebwoy Harcus was pissed at me 'cause I was flirting with his girl back then. We decided to settle it with a rhyme battle ... see, he was bedroom DJ'ing by then, so he got his boy Handit to battle me after school, line for line ... heh heh. I remember that, man. It seemed like every kid in Heartlake (just west of Toronto, Canada) was there to watch us battle each other. For the next couple of weeks we'd give each other cut eye in math class and things, but after it cooled down we all started making tunes with each other and shit ... and yeah man, Handit and Harcus won the battle, but I got the girl, ha! ha! ha! ... but she ended up breaking up with me 2 weeks later because i farted infront of her, ha ha ha! I remember that day perfectly!!! I was feeling like shit all day in my stomache and I had to, just had to!!! Hey man ... girlfriend or not, sometimes a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do, seen?"

Today Emcee steltBoma continues to host many of Toronto's jungle parties, building the dnb scene and being a solid part of the scene's foundation.
